Blue Screen — Fullscreen Blue Channel Test
Blue fullscreen activates the blue subpixel channel, making stuck red or green dots appear as yellow or red specks against the field. It completes the RGB trio used in panel QA.
Short-wavelength blue is bright on modern panels; lower brightness if you are sensitive or testing late at night.
Use the same shortcuts as our black and white screens: double-click or F for fullscreen, Esc to leave.
Blue channel defect detection
Scan for constant bright dots that do not match the blue background. Note whether they persist on red and green pages to classify stuck subpixels.
Night mode and blue light
This tool intentionally outputs strong blue for testing, not for bedtime reading. Enable night modes again after diagnostics.
Uniformity checks
Some IPS panels show slight color tint variation on full fields. Compare blue with gray-screen for neutral steps.
Production uses
Blue wash on a monitor can simulate moonlight in small video setups when combined with diffusion.
Slideshow integration
Chain blue with other primaries using color-slideshow for hands-free review of multiple units.
When to seek service
Multiple stuck pixels or growing spots may warrant warranty review. Capture photos on blue, red, green, black, and white for support.
