Black screen basics
The home page provides pure #000000 fullscreen black. It is not the same as locking your PC—browser fullscreen keeps the tab visible until you press Esc.
Fullscreen and keyboard
Press F or double-click after focusing the page. iOS may require Add to Home Screen for a cleaner view. Extensions can block F keys.
Dead pixels and warranty
Online color tests help you see defects; they do not repair panels. Policies on acceptable pixel counts vary by manufacturer and region.
OLED and battery
Dark content can reduce OLED power use versus bright white, but savings depend on brightness and background apps. Avoid static images for days.
Downloads vs online tools
PNG downloads work offline in image viewers; live tools update instantly and need network on first load unless cached.
